So, it's going ahead and by the looks of the line up we have a pretty good chance (apart from the niggling injuries that is).

Kick off now so I'm doing what I do best and going out 't shops cos I can't take this excitement ;)

aww, my poor dad :(

Never mind, I hope he'll be around long enough to see the team he's supported for so many years prosper again and not the thugs that most would be aware,  are associated with Arsenal :)

It's only a game after all ;)

I knows that Scotty, unfortunately - Spurs V Arsenal was the only ever thuggery I witnessed which was enough to stop me going to a match ever again :(

Tottenham supporters didn't have weapons btw so I'll leave it to your imagination ;)

I know, you've told me ;) but too much happens at every ground, hence I wouldn't ever single out one team - I know it's different for you and I accept that of course :)

Liverpool for the win!! :D

Well done to the Reds, over the moon for you. Stevie G has now scored in the UEFA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and FA Cup Finals. Just the World Cup final to go then, Stevie - that second Gerrard goal was one of the best I've seen, absolute cracker. When he refuses to be beaten like that, he's just incredible. Well done Liverpool :D

OK.

I'm not an Arsenal fan, I'm a football fan who actually used 5 of my 10 hours credit at work to stay at home and watch the final (OK, actually it was because I haven't had a day off in a while, and wanted a break, this just gave me an excuse ;)) and yes, I expected Barcelona to win it, and yes, as an Englishman I wanted the English team to win it - as far as I'm concerned club loyalties don't matter when it's a European competition...

...but that all aside, I want my 5 hours back. Whoever that ref is should be banned from ever officiating again. The decision to send Lehmann off was pathetic, he should only have been sent off if he'd stopped a goal scoring opportunity and as Giuly scored straight after, clearly he hadn't. It killed the game as the spectacle it should've been, Arsenal were knackered because of it and it was just a total shambles refereeing-wise from start to finish. Eto'o was offside, too.

Above all I wanted a great game to watch, and I didn't get that, so thank you Mr Norwegian referee, whatever your name is ;)

Congratulations to Barcelona though - they are an absolutely awesome team and I don't begrudge them winning at all, I just wish we could've seen more of a game that we did.

Still. I didn't have to go to work :D

IMO - and I stress, this is just my opinion - there is no such thing as an English footy team any more - English by club name only nowadays I'm afraid :(

Genuine English teams were around in my youth - alas, tis a money game now and nowt else :(

The only genuine English football team to exist now is England itself, so I use my old grudges against Arsenal when hoping they'll lose at every opportunity :)

Sorry brother John, you gloated when West Ham beat Tottenham and tonight - I have my revenge :D

:sing:

It's true. But still, they're a team who play in our league and to me that's still preferable to one that doesn't ;)
